Zenova is proud to announce the launch of Season One in Rise of Dark Sect, titled Season of Crimson Rebellion, officially beginning on July 19, 2025.

Following the successful global release of Rise of Dark Sect, Season One expands the game’s world and narrative with an intense new chapter. The Crimson Rebellion storyline marks the return of the long-forgotten Dark Sect and their deadly Crimson Flame Curse—an ancient forbidden art sealed centuries ago by the Five Great Clans. Now unbound, the curse spreads across the Eastern Realm, leaving trails of fire, blood and destruction in its wake.

Season One introduces a brand-new playable class: the Crimson Flame Disciple. Trained in the arts of spiritual flame manipulation and long-range curses, this class is a powerful force in both team battles and solo duels. With flame-based skills, area-of-effect control and weakening abilities, the Crimson Flame Disciple offers a distinct tactical advantage for players who seek to command the battlefield from afar.

Players will also gain access to Ashen Valley, a cursed and forsaken land that once served as a training ground for fallen sects. Now consumed by dark energy, Ashen Valley is filled with mutated beasts, cursed tombs and hidden lore. It serves as the main exploration zone of the season and contains valuable relics tied to the origins of the Dark Sect.

At the heart of the Crimson Rebellion lies a formidable seasonal boss: Xuanwu the Bloodbound. Once a guardian spirit, Xuanwu has been corrupted by the Crimson Flame and transformed into a monstrous being of rage and ruin. Defeating Xuanwu requires coordination, preparation and strategy, as his attacks evolve based on players’ progression during the season.

Beyond new content, Season One introduces a variety of time-limited events, ranked faction challenges and seasonal quests. Players can earn exclusive cosmetics, upgrade materials and ranking points throughout the season. The top 100 players by the end of the season will receive unique titles, legendary outfits and early access to content planned for the next chapter of the game.

Season of Crimson Rebellion runs from July 19, 2025 to November 30, 2025. This season sets the tone for future expansions of Rise of Dark Sect by introducing deeper moral choices, expanded PvP warfare and a growing world where darkness and destiny constantly collide.
